Heads or Tails with Jean Harrison

After joining a group of women at church in doing an online devotional called "Good Morning Girls", where the women take a passage of Scripture and "S.O.A.P." it (Scripture-Observation-Application-Prayer) Jean found herself thinking through Scripture and it's application to life in her walks with her new puppy, Buddy. Here are some of her musings...

Buddy has a problem...no we have a problem with him eating all sorts of unsuitable stuff.  Inside it is ears, arms, and legs off his toys; toilet paper tubes, pieces of cardboard packaging, gloves, slippers, and knit hats are a few of his favorite things to "grab and run" and chew up.  It's rather like a drive through fast food place here.
Outside the house a few of his favorite munchies are leaves, insects, pieces of mulch, and other items he is so lightning fast to gobble up that we have no clue what they are.  Now some of these snackies must be bad for his digestion because we all suffer the consequences and he sure can "clear a room."  We have very good dog food for him to eat but he always feels like he needs to supplement it.
God provides us all we need to feed on in the Bible.  His instructions for living life His way are contained in His Word.  Why do we run to all these supplements which cause us indigestion and stinks up the room?
