EVANGELISM Update
Here are some examples of how ESBC members have shared the gospel this week. These examples are meant to encourage you to share the gospel & have God conversations where you live, work, and play!
·One of our members--while visiting multiple community yard sales--struck up acquaintances with several different people and gave them information cards about our church along with an invitation to come worship with us.
·Another member had a spiritual discussion with their Jewish neighbor about the nation of Israel’s relationship with Jesus as recorded in the Bible.
·Two members received an unexpected phone call from a close relative and after an hour of talking were able to bring up spiritual matters such as the need for all men to seek a relationship with Jesus. The relative was very receptive to the Good News that was shared.
·Another member talked to a man who was sitting in his vehicle in the handicap parking space at a local grocery store. The man was lonely, desperate, conflicted, and in need of encouragement. Our member was able to easily engage him in a conversation and share about how Jesus could help the man have an inner peace.
·One member is changing jobs after many, many years. Our member was able to share with their current coworkers that while they are very nervous about the change, they are absolutely trusting God to help them through the transition.
·Another member shared with a coworker about an upcoming vacation to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. The coworker didn’t know anything about the biblical passage of Noah’s Ark so our member shared the story. The coworker was amazed to learn that every time a rainbow appears it is a reminder of one of God’s promises.
·And finally, one of our members visited a young mom who is a little overwhelmed with life and being a new parent. Our member not only invited them to our MOPS Ministry but picked them up and came with the young mom and her child to MOPS to help ease the transition. The mom was very blessed by the others in the MOPS group and plans to come to future MOP gatherings.
How are you sharing the Gospel in 2024?
