EVANGELISM Update

Here are some examples of how ESBC members have shared the gospel this week. These examples are meant to encourage you to share the gospel & have God conversations where you live, work, and play!

·Two separate members talked with unsaved coworkers about their thoughts on “religion” and what a church should ideally look like.  Both members are looking forward to following up on these discussions with their lost coworkers.

·Another member gave a spiritual tract to a waiter (along with a generous tip) at a local restaurant.  The waiter said that he loves “these things” and reads them with his girlfriend.  Our member gently reminded him reading them is a good start, but believing the Gospel message is what really matters.

·One member talked with a lost teenager about how one can “win the war in your mind” through faith in God.

·Another member had a brief discussion with an old, work friend who had recently survived a near death experience including an emergency helicopter transport to the hospital.  Our member shared how God has a plan for all of us.  Our member is looking forward to having deeper spiritual discussions with his friend who now seems much more ready to “listen” to God’s calling.

·One member prayed with a family that was being helped through one of our church’s ministries, and this same family came to church last Sunday!

·Another member received a text from a close, unsaved relative who thanked our member for praying for them.  The unsaved relative is just starting to seek God and our member encouraged to study the Gospel of John booklet that had been gifted to them recently.

·And finally, last Friday evening our church hosted a “Celebration of Life” for the friend of a former member who had recently passed away.  Many lost people were in attendance at this impromptu service and those who came heard two clear presentations of the Plan of Salvation!  We (believers) are just called to share the Gospel.  Now it is between them and the Lord as to how they respond, but it was a privilege and blessing to be used by God to spread the Good News!!

So, what have YOU done to SHARE THE GOSPEL lately? Pray for opportunities and be ready when the Lord gives them to you!!

THRIVE (for Jesus) IN 2025!
