EVANGELISM Update

Here are some examples of how ESBC members have shared the gospel this week. These examples are meant to encourage you to share the gospel & have God conversations where you live, work, and play!

·One couple asked a waitress in a local diner if she had any prayer requests.  She shared about her concern for the health status of her aging parents.  After our couple eaten, paid for their meal, and were about to exit the restaurant, the busy waitress made it a point to come over to our members and give them a heart-felt “thank you” for the prayers for her parents.

·Another member traveled to Washington D.C. to see their granddaughter in her final basketball game of the year.  Showing that commitment and simply “being there” opened a door later in the day for two of their grandchildren to ask them questions about God and church.

·One member shared with a coworker about how a perceived “problem” at work, was actually an answer to prayer.

·Another member was able to pray for a coworker who opened up at a staff Christmas Party about some struggles they were facing in their life.

·One member was able to have a follow-up God conversation with a neighbor who recently attended our service.

·Another member had a conversation with a co-worker about the differences between Baptist and Catholic beliefs (True salvation by FAITH versus false salvation by works, etc.).

·One member had numerous spiritual conversations with an adult child who is riddled with anxiety about their future.

·Another member noticed a coworker trying to work their way through an independent Bible Study.  The coworker does not attend any church, so our member is praying for them and seeking an opportunity to invite them to ESBC.

·And finally, 6 teens and 3 adults from ESBC shared a Live Nativity presentation at the Christkindlemarkt in Linglestown last Saturday.  Each presentation included a discussion about each “character” in the Nativity story, the reading of Scripture from Luke 2, and the distribution of Evangecubes showing how the baby Jesus grew into the adult Jesus who was and is our Savior and Lord!

So, what have YOU done to SHARE THE GOSPEL lately? Pray for opportunities and be ready when the Lord gives them to you!!

How are you sharing the Gospel in 2024?
