Kids

At East Shore, children are viewed as one of the greatest blessings and responsibilities God has given both to parents and the church community. These little ones in our midst are a tremendous source of joy, and we desire that each of them would grow into the man or woman God has created them to be! It is our hope and prayer at East Shore that God would use us to partner alongside families to raise up the next generation in Christ. We believe that the church has a unique opportunity to assist parents in leading these little ones to Jesus. He Himself said,

Each child is a soul in need of Christ, the Savior. To facilitate Gospel growth in our children, our goal is to provide a well-rounded curriculum so that our children can see Jesus in all of the Scriptures. By God’s grace, this will lead them to truly know God, trust Him by faith, serve others around them, and spread the good news of Christ! Below is a simple summary of some of how East Shore Kids is structured:

Security

Here at East Shore we know you are entrusting your child into our care and make their safety a high priority. At any given time your child will be left with at minimum two trained adult volunteers. We follow PA’s State Law clearance mandates and have additional training required for our volunteers. Below is a list of requirements for all volunteers:

• Background check

• Child Abuse History

• FBI fingerprinting

• Sexual Abuse Awareness Training

• Committed to following East Shore’s Childcare Policy & Procedures

Nursery

We offer nursery for all of our gatherings for children 3 yrs and under. We have a nursery filled with toys, that will keep your child busy for hours. If at any point our volunteers are not able to calm your child you will be notified via text.

Kids

We have three main teaching sessions each week for kids to gather, have fun, and learn about Jesus. We have a Sunday School hour, Wednesday Evening class, and a special class during the Sunday Service. The Sunday School and Wednesday Evening are open to all ages from PreK thru 5th grade.

• The class during the Sunday Service is for Pre-K thru 4th grade. This is optional! You can choose to have your child go to this class or have them stay in the sanctuary with you. We have families that do both.

• Sunday School at 9:30am (Birth thru 5th Grade): We are going through the New Testament utilizing the “Life Bible Study” curriculum.

• Wednesday Evening at 6:30pm (Birth thru 5th Grade): We are going through the Old Testament utilizing the “Gospel Project” curriculum.

• Sunday Service at 10:45am (Birth thru 4th Grade): We are going through the foundations of the Christian Faith utilizing the “Praise Factory” curriculum.
